I was in Egypt, Land of Thaurah : 2 - 6 April 2012

Alhamdulillah, I safely landed in Cairo (again) on 2/4/2012, after a short transit at Istanbul ( another favourite city of mine!). There is something about Egypt that was not there before ( my first visit July 2004, second - May 2006) - yesss, it is now known as the Land of Thaurah - remember Arab Spring? Managed to have sessions with M'sian medic students in Tanta (3/4) & during the awesome STEP 2012 ( Sliding Through Experience as Professionals) which was attended by 1000+ students, alhamdulillah! This enchanted land has captured my heart AGAIN - ironically, it was the lazy Nile flowing by, the chaos, dusty roads, daring drivers & friendly people that made up Cairo. InsyaAllah, I will come for another visit again....for I have left a piece of my heart in Egypt.

My third visit to Czech Republic!

Salam

Alhamdulillah, I was on Czech soil again end of last month ( 30/3 - 2/4) for my Dakwah Tour 2012. I attended 2 conferences in Prague Convention Centre in 2008 - ESC 2008 in May & AMEE Congress 2008 in Aug! But this time, I had the opportunity to travel to Hradec Kralove, another 2 hours drive from Prague & enjoyed the beautiful landscapes of Czech.

I was one of the speakers for OSEM 2012 ( Ordinary Students, Extraordinary MUDR) organized by CzeMSA, attended by 200+ M'sian medical students ( out of 300 total). They had a full dose of me on 31/3 - 1/4 - a marathon of talks on Becoming Five-Star Medical Doctor, Medical Professionalism, Capacity Skill Building : Managing Diversity, Critical Thinking & Emotional Intelligence!

InsyaAllah, they will be fine! Let's pray the final year students who are going to graduate this June (first batch) would be safe & competent doctors.

Dakwah Tour to UK : March 28th - 30th

Alhamdulillah, I was in UK two weeks ago : Leeds, Sheffield & Nottingham - to meet up with M'sian students. JZKK for everyone who contributed to the success of the trip : IMAM UK chapter, IKRAM UK/Eire, the young couple Mus'ab & Dr WanMai, K.Noor Zaitun, Ainol Suraya, Iman, Kauthar, Mun & so many others!
